Uganda gets first powdered milk plant
Fredrick Mugira, Mbarara, Uganda -The first ever powder milk plant in Uganda has gone into operation in Kampala with a capacity of 250,000 litres of milk per day for the international market. The plant is owned by Kenya-based Sameer group and Uganda's Sameer Agriculture and Livestock Ltd. Mr. Meralli of Sameer group says that their company worth $ 15 million has set up milk collection centers countrywide with coolers to boost collection and safe transportation of milk to the plant. Profile: Maastricht School of Management
The Maastricht School of Management (MSM) is a business school with a strong orientation towards international cooperation. The school primarily targets developing countries and emerging markets including China, Russia and many countries in Africa. "We are responsible for accreditation and delivering quality programs", says MSM director dean Prof. Dr. Ronald S.J. Tuninga with reference to the sister schools in 20 African countries. The school currently offers MBA and DBA programmes in engineering, financial accountancy, strategy, management information system, and business and development to about 1250 African students both in their home countries and in the Netherlands.
